The Blue Economy Summit 2026 will host a high-level institutional conference on Saturday, October 17, from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, as part of the second day of Balkans Sea Fair 2026
Under the title “Corridor VIII, Intermodality, and Blue Economy: New Connections between Italy, Albania, and the Balkans,” the conference will bring attention to the strategic importance of transport corridors, maritime connectivity, and infrastructure development in strengthening regional cooperation.
Under the patronage and promotion of the International Propeller Clubs, Port of Roma and UIR, Unione Interporti Riuniti, the event will provide a platform to discuss Corridor VIII as a key European axis for freight transport and logistics, connecting the Adriatic, the Balkans, and the Black Sea. The discussions will also highlight opportunities for bilateral industrial cooperation and the development of more integrated transport networks.
By bringing together institutional and industry perspectives, the conference aims to explore new opportunities for connectivity, economic development, and sustainable growth across Italy, Albania, and the wider Balkan region, reinforcing the role of the blue economy in shaping the region’s future.
