The future belongs to the youth. That's the focus of the third day of the Blue Economy Summit 2026, taking place on Sunday, October 18, at Marina Orikum.
The Trans-Adriatic Cooperation Roundtable, titled “Youth, Research, and New Skills: The Prospects of the Blue Economy in Albania,” will bring attention to the importance of developing human capital and strengthening cooperation between educational institutions, research centers, and the maritime industry.
The discussions will explore emerging opportunities in maritime careers, technological innovation, research, and knowledge transfer, highlighting the skills needed to support the sustainable development of Albania’s maritime sector. The programme also reflects the growing importance of artificial intelligence and innovation in transforming the industry
Organized in cooperation with port authorities, Centers of Excellence, and the Balkan university system, the roundtable aims to encourage new partnerships and create opportunities for the next generation of maritime professionals.
By placing young talent and innovation at the center of the discussion, the Blue Economy Summit seeks to contribute to a more competitive, sustainable, and connected maritime future for Albania and the wider Adriatic region.
